Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 2006 Grande Punto 1.2. One of the gear linkage cables snapped, the one further down the back of the gear box. Bought a replacement cable on ebay and can select all gears apart from reverse. The mechanic showed me he can push the end of the cable at the box end and it will go in then, it just won't do it by using the gear stick. Would anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Is the linkage cable been placed correctly so that the gear stick can move it. With the semi auto a re learn is needed I think when clutch or gearbox items get changed.
