Hello dear forum friends!

I'm a proud owner of a GP active 1.2.
Recently, I encountered a new issue that I cannot yet explain:
When i'm im 1,2,3 gear, and puching the clutch in, it drops like a hammer, there's a nasty bump...when I'm in 4th or 5th gear it's clear. I've noticed that if i'm "double clutching" it doesn't reoccur.
could it be a clutch or a gear issue?

Thanks in advance! :D

Could you elaborate further, as what you're saying makes no sense.
What drops like a hammer ?
in 4th or 5th whats clear.

Thanks for your reply,
What I meant was every time I push the clutch pedal in, it bumps. it only bumps when shifting from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd gears.
I was quite worried by those sounds and drove to a diagnostic garage, the error which the car gave out was:
IAW 5SF3-8-9 CAN: P083F - Clutch Pedal Switch A / B Correlation.

The mechanic said that the gearbox shoud be removed for further examination and while at it - the cluch mechanism must be examined. Does anyone know the exact nature of this error code? (it follows with a yellow exclamation mark)...

The error goes to clutch pedal switch (has nothing to do with the clutch itself)
It's a simple switch that tells ecu when the pedal is pressed.

I don't know why you have this error though. Most of the times there's no error if this switch goes bad. But anyway you have to check the switch about that.

You feel this ''bump'' on the gear stick ?

The "bump" isn't felt in the gear stick. The strange fact is that I feel nothing with the higher gears...plus when I keep the accellerator pedal a bit in with the clutch it behaves normally. Peculliar indeed. :(

Ok. Your problem is on the clutch switch.

Is it a serious problem? can it cause a bigger issue? what in your opinion is the best way to hadle that problem?

btw, The Start\Stop function stopped functioning as the problem occured. is it connented somehow?

Maybe i'm being thick, but i'm confused with what's going bump.

Are you saying you can hear a clunking noise or feel something.

Incidentally, Start/Stop won't work while there's a problem with that switch.

You're far from thick as far as I see, I'm just having a hard time explaining the issue...:D
Evidently, I feel it, rather than hear it. It used to be smooth and elegant, and now when I push the clutch pedal it feels like it hits something, perhaps its the rev going down, as I believe controlled by the switch we were discussing.

I had problems with this switch so I think I know what bump you feel.

It's like you clutch in when you decelerating with 1st gear. Sometimes you feel the engine moving etc.

This switch is there to enable/disable fuel cut etc (Except start/stop)
You can try to calibrate it again

If you have again this feeling just replace the switch. It's very cheap.
