Hi, there is a loud clucking noise everytime I turn the steering wheel in either direction on my Fiat Punto grande 2007. I was wondering if anyone might know what this problem is?

Sounds like the common top mounts fault.

Another vote for top mount bearings. These sit on top of the front suspension struts under the scuttle panel.

To confirm if it is the topmount have someone turn the wheel slowly while you hold a front spring, do each one in turn. If the spring feels like its 'twanging' when the wheel is being turned then it needs a new top mount.

Obviously be VERY careful where you're putting your hands when the wheels are being turned.

Could be the steering rack itself very common
