Just thought I would post up some info and photos of my red 2009 punto t-jet, which is now running at 162bhp and 291nm torque, with performance & styling upgrades (as below). Car has low mileage for its age so is in good nick.
I have had the car since 2012, but could not afford to upgrade it until about 6 months ago, so have slowly been adding bits and bobs to it since then (hard and fast!)

Performance modifications:
SuperSprint twin-tip Cat-back (removed centre silencer)
BMC CDA cold air feed induction
Eibach Pro-kit suspension and new shocks
Forge Motorsport underbody braces
Tune4Performance Remap to 162bhp and 215lbft (291nm) (144bhp pre-remap but post-exhaust/Air intake)
CG Dual Friction Race clutch (uprated clutch from clutch-specialists.co.uk)
New NGK iridium spark plugs (did actually seem to make a difference)
Running Pirelli P Zero Nero
(Also, now running it on superunleaded fuel)

Styling modifications:
Roof black
Mirrors black
Front grille de-badged / black
Rear tuning decals
Sporting badge at rear
Rear tinted windows
Red callipers
Philips 6000K LED sidelights to replace W5W (which look good in my opinion - very bright)
Philips 4300K whitevision headlights
Philips 5000K diamond vision fog lights (which actually match up with the headlights as the LEDs and whitevisions mix)
Resprayed front / rear bumpers + hood due to mismatch in the reds (recently got rear-ended too meaning some damage to car needed repairing)
Red and black floor mats inside
Kept original FIAT and Punta badges (I don't think putting an Abarth badge on would look good - it isn't an Abarth. Stickers I put on the rear windscreen are personal preference - already been told by my brother he doesn't like them, but a car is for you to enjoy and to your taste so I decided to keep them [for now - I will probably remove them in the future some time])

Future plans:
EBC Brakes (Discs and greenstuff pads - at next MOT)
Potentially buy black alloys with a new set of tyres (rotate sets)
Potentially bucket seats (from Abarth or similar)

Before anyone suggests:
No I will not be upgrading the intercooler and turbo, I'm happy with it performance-wise as it is, and I don't want to do any more work to it (except brakes / seats but these are just a standard swap).

I was originally running a K&N cone filter, it did hiss and sound dump-valve-ey so that was nice but I think it reduced performance. That was the only mod I had on it for 2.5 years until now. The car runs smoother with the BMC CDA. The other thing to mention is that I have had the exhaust on it now for maybe 500 miles and it is already tuning up nicely sounding nice. It is relatively quiet when idle but when you kick it, it causes a fuss, it also surprises me occasionally with a pop or a bang, and it seems to be doing it more frequently as the miles rack up. It burbles on low revs and in low-gear deceleration, and it is surprisingly is louder and throatier when it is warm (rather than on cold start).

I did all the work I could myself (didn't fit exhaust/remap/roof & respray paint jobs/clutch change). It is my pride and joy, and working on it has provided me with a nice hobby for the weekends over the past few months! I am a mechanical engineer but of the academic type so have not ever dealt with the hands-on stuff before! It was a challenge but it was fun.

Just posting on here to see what people think of the mods! Cheers.

(The photos have been tweaked on PhotoShop but I only played with the lighting and some of the exposure etc.)

Looks good, im not a fan of the stickers in the window but each to their own.

How did you fit the CDA kit? Thought they didnt fit rhd cars
Yeah the novelty may wear off at some point and I will remove them. That will likely happen within the next year but for now they stay. As you say though it is each to their own, quite right.

Well that was the challenge. I don't know if they are specifically for RHD cars but I got mine from balance motorsport, and it is the CDA kit for the abarth punto - it fits the connections no problem, the only thing is the space. It is an incredibly tight fit and I had to really play around with it to make it fit. I ended up making my own modified bracket to fit it in, but now that it is in it is fine. I am happy with the kit and would recommend it if you don't mind a couple of hours of tweaking and meddling!

Lovely car mate!

How do you find the CG Dual Friction Race clutch? Do you have an exact link to the one you got?

Did you replace this and a new DMF or only the clutch? I'm now running 230 ft lbs on my t-jet and feel as though I'm in need of an uprated one.

Thanks.
