Help please punto grande horn no power to horn checked and replace fuse 33 as said in owners book but some one as put in another thread fuse number 10 but can't see a fuse position 10

Was the fuse 33 burned? Did you changed it whit a new one of right Amps? Could you post a picture of the fuse box? Did you tested the he horn bell and its connections?

Kind regards,
BT

Hi thanks again fuse 33 looked ok but still replaced it with a new one of correct amp I also unplug the horn be hind the grill and tried a volt meter via putting both prongs in I also tried with a bulb holder a put both wires in to the plug and nothing

As any body else got any I dears can the contacts be seen if you move the air bag from steering wheel if so what could be done any advise on moving the air bag
Thank you in advance

Sounds like a break in circuit, probably in steering wheel or the horn is dead.

Had same problem with daughter's horn and wire behind steering wheel had broken.

Thank you for replying how big of job was it to get to I know that I would have to be care full with the air bag removal

Was not too hard but had to do it slowly and surely and, as you say, be very careful, of the air bag. Pretty sure there is a howto somewhere here.

Hi KenMavor
Just found the guide I removed the air bag from the steering wheel but could not find any broken wires I have checked the horn via putting it in to another punto and that was ok I have also found that the fuse is number 36 and not 33 as it says in the book but still no luck with the horn is the contacts on the airbag if so any way I could test them

Thanks will try it with wheels in different positions I ham trying to find which relay then swop it to see if it is stuck as I can't here any clicking

Don't remove the wheel so fast.

If you don't have other problems like airbag fail, radio buttons not working etc it's not the clock spring.

What car is this? engine/model.

Hi thank you for your reply

Its a 56 plate grande punto 1.2 and all the lights are ok on dash radio controls on steering wheel is fine its just the horn I tried another relay last night from a donner car but still no luck and the daughter is doing my head in as I have to sort knocking out as well on the steering

Does the horn contact on the air bag under the 3 springs separate from the spring clock as looking at it removed I can see like copper clips and is the 2 thin wires the live and earth that have the white block

I can't help there sorry, I don't like to play with that part actually lol

All I know is that you can remove the white cable from the horn contacts and the black/red from the spring clock cables so you can remove the wheel (obviously)

Can you check voltage on the horn cables?

(relay T16 checked right?)

I tried to see if any power came through to the horn tried putting prongs of a volt mtr but nothing also got a bulb holder with 2 peaces of wire and put those in still nothing not sure which relay I took one out of a donner car that parked up at side removed a relay that made the horn stop working so removed the same one from the car that did not work and put the good one in and nothing if only cars were same as in the 70s were every thing was strait forward any body no if I bridge the 2 wires in the white block would create a circuit what is the location of the T16 relay please

T16 is in 16 position
and fuse F33 is in 37 position.

(look under the fusebox cap to find the positions)

Still no luck with horn I have also swopped the air bag over to see if that was at fault
