Anybody know how to take the alternator of a 1.9jtd I would take it to a garage but it has recently taken ally funds with a new clutch dual mass flywheel and new tyres so need to do it myself I have checked the Internet for days with no result or help. Any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

Cheers buddy :) i read something about the drainage not being good enough and some guy had found a quick fix will have another look at it. I've tested the terminals on the battery it's putting out between 11-12v

EDIT; ( 1st remove all connections to battery / alternator and clean + retighten - a naff connection will lose volts like that..,)

if it still SOUNDS o.k., :)
remove the brush pack / voltage regulator unit.. with it still on the car;)

as that's what does the output..!!:D
