Hi guys
Since we bought our grande punto a few months back, I noticed that on the drivers side there was an odd scraping noise when driving over speed bumps.

I got under the car and noticed that near the wheel, there is a large piece if plastic that seems to have cracked where it should be bolted down to stop it from moving. Now I usually just give it a shove and it is fine for a whole but on big bumps it comes back down again.

Does anyone know what the part is and how I could go about fixing/replacing it?

Thanks !!

:)

Got a pic?

Yeah, sorry I didn't initially upload one! When I get home I will try to get a picture though it's pretty hard to see well unless you jack the car up a fair bit. Will do some crawling later on to try and get a good shot :p

Need a pic really but sounds like the plastic inside the wheel arch. Mine came off and I got a replacement from ebay pretty cheap.

But could still do with a pic to confirm(y)

Here's a pic guys. Hope this helps. The picture is taken from drivers side front corner. So imagine that drivers side front wheel is to the left of this photo..

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

This is the side tray (protection) piece

Looks like an undertray , was the first thing I got rid of when I lowered mine :)

So you're saying I can just remove this and wouldn't need to replace it necessarily?

Ok, and ideas where I could buy a replacement and how much fitting cost would be ?

Thanks!!
