Folks...Hows things? Firstly, I'm new to this forum (officially anyway) but I've been availing of its brilliance for this past 10 weeks or so.

Purchased a Grande Punto 1.9 130bhp model just over 2 months ago. Fell in love with the car from day dot and just had to make the purchase. Never was much of a petrol head, having owned 3 cars previously and never really done anything other than drive them, but something was different this time, and I've pretty much adored this car from the off.

Thanks to the guides and general chit chat, I've done a fair bit of work on the car, considering I never as much as pulled a dip stick before. Gave the car a thorough service, changing pads and discs all round, along with all the filters, fluids and glow plugs. Got the alloys refurbished, body work touched up and the car is sitting pretty much mint at this stage.

All was going well until the turbo decided to blow and leave me facing a nice little bill over the festivities!! I was just wondering if anyone would be as kind to guide me in he right direction in terms of sourcing out parts etc. A straight swap would be great but if there's a bigger and better solution out there, that isn't going to pull my pants down over the price, I' happy to listen!

There must be a turbo on eBay? It may help to be aware that many Vauxhalls and Alfas the used same engine; but don't buy one from a more powerful 16v car, I don't think they'll fit your 8valve.
