So yea some sad person decided to key my car whilst I was in college today, the scratch is about 2ft long and I think its only gone to the primer but I want to know the easiest way to get it out, I've seen people using 2000-3000 grit wet and dry to level the scratch and use compound to bring back the shine but does anyone know a easier way?

Personally your never going to get it how it should be imho I would take it to a professional.

A pay the earth! I've got the like really good compound and correct sand paper and even touch up paint, I can't see why I shouldn't have a go to save a lot of money

Its a very skilled job but worse case scenario is you make it worse, in which case you'll be getting it resprayed anyway?

Is it easily made worse if you do it slowly with wet sand paper and rubbing compound and did it by hand?

i did a fairly easy to follow picture how to on scratch repair when my Mk2 HGT was keyed

I got really good decent touch up paint in a tin, I will deffo use a really thin brush but thanks for the guide
