Its that time of year I dread! You get into the car and have to wait for ages for the engine to warm up just so the inside of the windscreen can be cleared! Even worse when it drops below zero because you then have to de-ice the inside of the winscreen.

Any hints or tips on how to resolve this?

Ive read to put the aircon on - Is that with the dial pointing to the windscreen or with the dial pointing to the upper/lower body?

What model GP do you have?

If you have aircon you should have a snowflake button I think. Put the heater to hot and press the button with the dial on the demist setting.

Also if you have one check your cabin filter is clean

Thanks for the reply.

Ive got the 1.9 Mjet 130bhp.

Yeah, cars got aircon. Will try that out tomorrow morning.

Not sure ive got a cabin filter - dont suppose you know if this model has one and where I would find it?

Is it just steaming up or is it soaking wet like its been raining on the inside? Sometimes if its quite bad it can be the heater matrix

give the windscreen a really good clean, with window cleaner and newspaper (this is what I use), the condensation has to have something to stick to and a dirty windscreen makes it more likely to fog up. if you clean it you should notice the difference.

Additionally the A/C removes some moisture from the air, so is also a good option (comes on automatically with the window demisters)
