Hi all,
I had my steering column replaced today. I now have power steering back but have a problem. Steering is normal turning left but loose like "city button" when turning right. Pressing the city button has no effect on the steering. Can anyone help??

:yeahthat:

Best case scenario is they haven't performed a power steering calibration. This needs specialist software / equipment to perform so a lot of garages don't bother.

Worst case scenario is the steering angle sensor is faulty (looks like a donut, the column goes through it). This tells the ECU where your steering wheel is pointing.

Can you tell I've had a lot of power steering problems? Lol

If you're near by I can do it using MultiECUScan software.

I need to replace my steering column and just know I wont be able to do it myself!!

Could anyone recommend a mechanic in sussex that could fit it for me?

I am going to buy the steering column from Western Power Steering but I live in worthing sussex so its a bit of a long way to go for them to fit it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :0)
