Hi

Re: Air conditioning is not working

I am sure now the hot weather in here a lot of people will be having the same problems.

About a month ago my air conditioning stopped working. I have three light just below my radio, one is for:

The rear heated windscreen (which still works)
The air conditioning (does not work)
and climate control (does not work)

I went to the garage and they replaced the gas and confirmed that it could be the fuse, we have checked and it is not the fuse.

My car is a Evo but have been advised that is pretty similar to the Grande, was wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem or has any idea what could be causing the problem before I spend loads of money.

Thank you

Claire

Can you depress the buttons?
Sometimes the clips that hold the heater fascia on can break and stop you being able to press the buttons fully.

Try pushing the plastic back (above the buttons) and then pressing them.

Claires EVO has the 3 x setting dials, and the buttons,

Can you see above the air recirculation button that there is like a shadow?
Its where mine has done what I explained above.

I have super glued it back in place and its been fine since.

However if you can depress the buttons fully then its not the same fault as I have experienced.

So you cannot depress the buttons?
Try pushing the plastic back around the buttons and see if they work then?

It does not seem that the buttons in their self are any different, it is not lighting up/working
Ill try pushing the plastic around the buttons and see if it starts working..
