Anyone had this?
Turned on the car in a bit of a out the way place with a big steep hill that I needed to climb, I mean really steep, and knowing the GP it chose this time to completely lose all acceleration and torque, the car wouldnt speed up in 3rd gear at all and up the hill 2nd didn't do anything, had to rev it's tits off in first to keep going.
Was quite scary tbh if there had been traffic behind me id have been quite a hazard, has anyone else had this problem before.

I'm sick of stuff like this tbh

Can't suggest anything I'm afraid, but funnily enough I was behind a 1.2 GP last week when exactly the same happened. I stopped to check everything was ok with their car, but just put it down to being a middle-aged woman in the wrong gear; turns out I may have been wrong in my terrible assumption

??
I even checked what gear I was in to make sure but the revs made sense so wasn't that!

Thing is about the 1.2 I have is when this happened, the car literally had no power at all, wouldn't be as bad in something else :')

The 1.2/8v can’t hack a steep hill climb without a lengthy run-at-it & early double de-clutch down shift(s) with a good buzz of revs on.

No surprise it “wouldn’t speed up in 3rd” – it’ll rapidly run out of puff.
2nd might hack-it – or you’ll just have to take your punishment & drop to walking pace in 1st.

Slipping clutch?

revs would go high which they wernt so I don't think this is the problem

Hahah that's true what you said about first, it's such a chore. I know the 1.2 has no power it's just this was really strange

There's another Hill near me that I climb every day that I can easily do in 3rd
