Hi everyone. I think this is posted before but I wanted more advice than anything else.

I have a 2008 grande punto. My stock radios Cd player has decided to brake. So I was looking for a new radio. I went to a dealership and they told me a new radio would be £450. I kindly refused.

I have a blue and me system in it so I didn't really want an aftermarket radio as I would loose my blue and me.

There are cheap enough stock radios on ebay but most of then are without the code. People said that you can get the code of a fiat dealership but I spoke to them and they said they can't do it.

Is this true? Or is there an easier way to get the codes for the radios?

If you check the I.C.E section there are people that can generate a code for your radio for a small donation to the fiat forum. Simply give them the serial numbers that is on the back of the radio.

Interested in what "blue and me" gives you over a normal bluetooth head unit especially if you get a make that allows connection to the steering wheel controls.

New bluetooth headunit - say £70. Steering wheel connector - £50. Headunit wiring adapter - £25. Total £145 but probably can be done cheaper.

I believe that non blue and me won't get telephone control from steering wheel and voice activation will be disabled.

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to check the generating code thing. Second question I just remembered. I've got a few play list's that I want to burn onto CD. Do the stock radios recognise CDs I've burnt onto blank CDs?

Yes but i've found it to be a bit picky.

Some CDs I have burnt will work others wont
