Hi guys.

4 problems i wanted advice on if possible.

First, the driver's door won't open from the inside. I've ordered a new lock to fit so will hopefully sort it.

Second, the rear drivers side windows can be pushed down by hand. Even if i keep winding the handle which grinds a lot so something must be broke, the handle eventually catches and winds it back up but it can still then be pushed down, it's just a bit stiffer to do.

Third, the boot bounces back when closing. If i close with a slam and keep my hand there it will eventually catch it and stay closed.

Lastly, the air con doesn't work. We had it re gassed but fairly quickly stopped working again.

Any advice welcome.

1) Lets see if the new lock once fitted sorts that problem.

2) It sounds like the window regulars are shot! I would consider replacing these, it is a DIY job and normally takes about 45 mins to an hour to replace.

3) Before having the aircon regassed once again I would take it to a garage and make sure there is no leak mate, how long ago was it you had is gassed?

Regards
Stephen

The window, is that still the case considering they are manual not electric in the back? Is it costly?

Any idea on the boot?

Air con was last year. If it's a leak that would be fine but any other parts seemed expensive when i called someone. How would i find out if it is a leak without paying lots at a garage?

Cheers

Cost me 70 quid about 18 months ago for the window regulator.

I had the same issue with my door when I changed the front speakers. There is a release cable from the inside door handle which needs to sit in its holder. Its really simple to do. Just take off the door card and you'll see what I'm on about. Hope this helps :)

yep, i think the catch is aligned as it does eventually catch properly after a few attempts
It might be aligned left to right but what about fore/aft? Does the boot lid line up flush with the rear quarters when you do get it to shut?

I'm thinking maybe the catch that latches on might just be sticking a bit and not catching quick enough so i sprayed some wd40 on it. It hasn't helped yet though and still takes a few attempts before catching.

Anyone no y my car is hard to start and it comes up on dash excess radiat fluid temp I think
