Morning everyone. This is my first post on here and to be honest I'm slightly nervous because what I wanted to do is show you guys my car and ask your opinions on her (good or bad  ) and see if I could get any advice to improve her.

This is my girl, a 2008 grande punto active. When I first saw it when I was looking for a first car I had to have her. She look far more sporty than the other punto's I was looking at, clearly due to the additional rear spoiler and skirts and along with the after market black alloys she looked great (in my opinion anyway) especially in the blue they fitted perfectly.

So I bought her, Passed my test and set off.

Unfortunately bieng only a 18 year old, I had a very slim choice with engines, she only has a 1.2 but to be honest she looks great no matter how slow she goes.

My aim posting on here was to just hopefully get involved with the forum and also ask for people's opinions about her. I also wanted to ask if you guys think there is anything I could do to improve her anyhow. Bieng only a college student I can't afford anything to huge, but you know if anyone could give me any advice that would be really nice :)

I havnt really done much since I bought her. Just a lot of cleaning, polishing, T cutting to try and make her look as good as she can. The wheels are a little scuffed here and there (previous owners honest), and there are a few scratches here and there but I've managed to get most of them out. Other than the wheels and the darkened rear side windows she is pretty original, im just glad she has the extra sporty add ons to make her look that slightly more unique!

Any replies would be great, good or bad just as long as I get people's opinion so I can improve. So thanks for reading guys. :)

There are loads of cheap, subtle things you could do which would set the car off:

Debadged grille
Colour code door handles
Smoked side indicators
Abarth headlights (not cheap but make a surprisingly big difference)
Vinyl grille

There are a few that I'd get started on.

Check out all the members motors threads for some ideas.

But looks very nice as it is, especially as a first car :)

Thanks guys! :D ill probably look into getting a De badged grill as there not to expensive as well as the side indicators. Wind deflectors are also a great idea ill have a look at them too :) thanks for all the positive comments. I'll have a good look at some other threads to see if I can find some inspiration!

^when the zombie apocalypse comes i want to be in your car ! (y)

I like the Grande though great colour not keen on the wheels but thats a personal preference thing

In the past ten years or so of driving I've used all but the fire extinguisher and life hammer in anger (came close to using the life hammer to free a trapped lorry driver who was hell bent of getting out of the overturned cab ) me and another HGV driver managed to force open the door)

Lovely little car, looks very clean and the blue is the best colour in my opinion :p There are loads of little subtle mods you can do to put your own mark on it, and most of them are cheap as chips and won't affect the insurance. My favourite mods are the vinyl at the front of the car and painted calipers, both cheap and easy to do.

Good Luck!

Look nice mate! Maybe get wind deflectors and vinyl wrap the blue but in between the grills.
Everyone have a look at my car and tell me what you think!

Thank you :D Definitely agree about the blue, great colour. I like the idea of painting the calipers, would have no clue what colour to suit the car and wheels though.

I went for a sporty blue, contrasts nicely with the darker blue of the car and pops out of my black alloys nicely. Could go for that, or maybe a classic red to match your badges, or do something that hasn't been done much before, maybe a yellow? Will match with the blue and stick out of the alloys, could look good?

Check out my thread for the blue calipers: https://www.fiatforum.com/members-motors/330297-matts-1-4-8v-grande-4.html

Had a look at your thread really loved the how the calipers matched really well with the wheels and car colour. May have to put that one on my list! I do also like the idea of trying something new, the decisions...

Welcome!
Nice to see another blue GP! Defo think it's the best colour.
For things to do because I was in the same boat as you..
Lower the car for a start! Makes a lot of difference for appearence,
Roof spoiler if you haven't already got one?
Rear 3 windows tinted ?
I have an induction kit in mine and it really does make a difference sound and speed.
Defo paint the callipers.. I have anthrecite grey alloys with black callipers and it does look smart!
Here's a recent picture of mine,
Need and ideas or help feel free to message me :)

Nice car man. Agree with the induction kit but seeing as I have a black box I don't think my insurance will be to happy. Will probably message you when I start as I have no idea where to start! :D

We'll see with induction kits they don't take long to take on and off so if you were to have an accident it won't take too long to take off haha! Best off keeping things right if you have a box tho mate!
If you need anything give me a message :D
