that is a broken thingy majig (brake pad wear indicator cable) that has snapped off the whatchamacall it ( left wheel arch loom section))

Weird how it only has it on that one caliper them and not other 3
Thats how they come on the GP on later S2 - evo they are on both front callipers..... All it does is put a light on your dash when the brake pads are getting low (well that one pad)

Your best bet is a soldering iron and heatshrink tubing to insulate your repair...

should have however if aftermarket brake pads have been fitted some dont come with the pad sensor fitted...
Mine broke as well and when it rained it would flash up errors

I see! I've only just bought my Grande, and it's got full Fiat history, so I assume it's got Fiat pads on it.
