Hi

Trying to get a replacement hub cab / wheel trim for my Fiat Grande Punto 2006 as one is missing. If I want to replace the other 3 too, it looks like I have to take off the wheel nuts - can this be right? They're definitely being held in place at the centre, but if I pull hard enough will they come off or do I need to undo all the wheel nuts?

Thanks

Wheel trims are held on by wheel bolts.
One of the bolt holes (in the trim) has an open side, which you can see when you look closely. This means you can leave that bolt tightened - just remove the other three bolts and slide the trim off the fourth bolt. There is no need to jack up the car or remove the wheel. The wheel fits tightly on the hub, so it is safe for the car's weight to remain on it even with only one bolt fitted (though obviously, don't drive with the bolts removed).

Similarly to fit the trim, check the tyre valve lines up correctly with its space in the trim and then identify the bolt that lines up with the open-sided hole. Leave that bolt tightened and remove the other three bolts, fit the trim, then refit the bolts.
