Hi

I've fitted a set of subaru imprezza seats to my grande punto but the only issue is the airbag warning light is now on as the scooby seats don't have airbags in then is there anyway of making some form of connector to fool the system into thinking they are there (using some form of resistor was my best guess so far) in order to turn the airbag warning light off

Cheers
Callum

Would love to see a few pictures of the seats - I'm under the impression that when airbags are in question its always best to take them to a certified dealer.

Airbags are explosive.

Having said that the air bag light will be on because it is not a complete circuit.. And that's why the light is on. I'm not very good with electrical things, but I'm sure someone can help you out. But I would take it to a dealer and ask

you could lay the airbags on the floor under your seats then in the event of an accident you will be safely ejected from the car and away from the accident.

you can fool the system with resistors, its not advisable as can screwup the rest of the airbag system and your insurance company will disown, you'll need an auto electrician and to let your insurance company know first as this is the sort of modification they may cancel your policy over

Within MultiECUScan is the facility for a proxy alignment, where the computer is told to accept all the bits attached to it. There is within this a facility to disable some items, such as the Blue&Me when it fails. Hopefully the seat airbags can be disabled without disabling the ones still present. This would need the licensed version of MES and the correct coloured connector.

Like an echo on here, update your location and someone nearby may be able to help.
