Hi,

I have an issue with the reading on the petrol gauge, in that it thinks the car is out of fuel. This happens more often than not, and when it does work, it seems to show the correct fuel level. For instance now the car is over half full, and it shows this when working.

Apart from the gauge, you wouldn't think there was a problem, as the car runs fine. Not coughs or splutters, so as the pump is working fine, I think it is something else.

Could this be down to the fuel level sensor or is this some float issue?

I know where the fuel tank access is, but I have never done anything like this before. Any advice would be appreciated.
