Hi all I have been away for a bit but much has happened, I need some quick help... I have been told my wastegate is failing but to my understanding I don't really have one. As the turbo pressure is controlled by the actuator I believe changing it for the forge one will cure this problem as I can hold low range boost unless I'm flat to the floor with the throttle and even then... it's not guaranteed :-( I should mention I've just had new cluth, flywheel, head casket, head skim, port and polish :-D, timing belt kit, new plugs, new rocker cover bolts and gasket, oil and filter change.... 40mm lowering to happen next month along with complete new exhaust system the month after. I used to have a my own thread on here but the app has changed and I can no longer find it... But I'm rambling lol any and all help much appreciated....

Im sure its called a Wastegate Actuator? Sounds to me though the Actuator is to blame.

If you go Forge it comes with a standard spring (green) which is fine for a non remap engine i believe. If yours is remapped though then i go for (yellow) some may need a remap tweak but some dont but will hold boost longer.

Thanks for the reply :) it's as I thought replacing that will fix that problem however after a good look today it also looks like the bearing is on its way out so I will have to but a vl36 turbo for 400 new an upgrade I wanted just not yet but needs must.... So I will be selling my Vl37 if anyone wants it to use or refurbish they sell the kit for 140 quid
