Hi,

I know this might be a really stupid question, but im looking into getting a roof box.
What do i need to be able to fit it just roof bars or is there something else i need, Ive got a 57 plate 5 door GP.

Also does anybody have any advice on cycle carriers that go on the boot, is a low rack or high one better? As ive read that depending on where the lights are i might need a lighting board?

And then for the cycle carrier i think the roof mounted one would be better for me would i just need the thule 591 and that will be compatible with the bars above?

I've got square bars and the 591 fits fine

looks good to me (thule made a neater more modern setup for the GP after i got mine) :bang:

I'd avoid a boot mounted bike rack if possible. The straps mark the paint, and you will make a mistake and touch a pedal or handlebar on the car whilst loading one day.

Has anybody had problems with the fitting kit?

Ive got the fitting kit, its the right one for my 5 door grande punto. But the ,measurements in the instructions seem to small , it just doesnt fit,

Should the black rubber base go into the groove on each side ?

Is there an easy way to do it or am i clearly doing something wrong?

mine sits on the metal between the door top and the black strip... but mine is a three door...
