I've just installed a 3.5mm jack cable into the back of my stock head unit on my 2007 Grande, but I'd like to terminate it in a 3.5mm input mounted in a drilled hole just behind the handbrake, on that little textured section.

Is there a guide to removing that plastic section which is lower down than the centre console? I'm pretty clueless, and don't even know what it's called.

step one tells you how to remove the whole plastic bit, im assuming thats what u mean

Just noticed it doesn't seem to work if your on the app.... Strange. Basically you pull from the gearstick end. Quite firmly and it pops off. Both sides ovbs

Can I just ask, how did you install the cable? I've always wanted one but was unsure on how it works. Plus I've got blue+me so does it work with that? Cheers

is the aux cable different with blue and me than it is in standard?
