Hi everyone, Im having a problem with my gp. Its a 5dr and the back doors sound like chewbacca everytime you open or close them. They really sound awful. Its very embarrassing whenever y carry people in the back. I dont know why but its only the back doors and they both sound equaly bad like they were a million years old.

I've tried wd40 and also motorbike chain lube guiding me by these videos:





I've also noticed that it gets worse on hot days. During winter they almost didn't sound (Im in chile and right now is summer here).

Please help me! I don't know what to do

Did you use a straw with the WD40 in order to get deep into the hinge mate?

Hi, yes I used the straw.

I just unbolted the door stop:
(this is not my car, its only for reference) :


and the noise is gone, so this must be the source of the noise. What should y do? replace them or can i fix these somehow?

I think if you can source a new set mate change them, best bet might be your local fiat dealer

Yes but here in chile fiat parts are very expensive (they say its because of the shipping from italy). I will try to find a used set or some cheaper parts store. For now I left both doors without the rods connected but the doors wont stay open if u open them.
