hi iam new to the forum and fiat , i have a fiat florino 1.3 mutijet 2009 , being that this has the same engine and dashboard as you guys , i hope you dont mind me joining in .
my question is how do i know when my service is due when i flick through the menu onto service it comes up with "0 miles" but there is no light to say its due,

It means the service indicator wasn't reset. When it gets to zero the spanner icon will appear but will disappear by itself after a while but the service countdown will stay at 0

Get the garage to reset it for you when its serviced (y)

Mileage I believe, as ignition cycles would be no good for someone do a lot of stop start city driving.
 
I'd ignore the dashboard service indicator entirely, they often don't get re-set by small garages. Just look through the documentation and the service book and go from there.
 
thanks guys the van has hit 49,200 miles and it was serviced at 38,000 miles so do need to consider getting it done .
