Hi All,

Sorry for the 4th thread regarding my suspension, but I can't decide if I have an issue.

Since fitting the new springs, the tracking is out, but I don't think tracking would cause the problem, not to this degree anyway.

It's hard to explain, but I can be driving and holding the wheel straight, but the car randomly pulls in a direction. Not like a constant 'pull to the left', for example, but a random jerk.

Imagine high winds, and it feeling like its picking the car up and you're forced to correct it, it's like that, constantly.

Another example is going round bends. I can hold the wheel at a certain degree, but randomly it feels as though someone has turned it even tighter, and i'm forced to correct. A mate in the back said it felt as though the rear axle had come loose - he didn't know I'd noticed an issue at the time.

Could tracking cause this? It never happened before on coils, and the tracking was much further out than this.

Could it be because my front and rear shocks don't match?

Many thanks!

I had the exact same problem on my mk2 punto with the random pulljng, turns out my left front coilie had bent in a tad and cambered my wheel in which also put the toe wrong, so the right wheel was aligned fine but the left cambered and toed in way too much, got tracking done now which has sorted most of it but wheel is still ever so slightly cambered, and tbh I didn't even notice the camber till I took it to a garage...!

Hopefully tracking will help a lot then. Was just worried about loose bolts, although it was a mechanic that fitted the stuff.

Guess what? Had a punctured tyre. But because it coincidentally happened right after suspension change, I thought it was that. As a result, shredded completely road worthy tyre. :(
Ah that would do it. I once had a flashing esp light during even low speed cornering as a result of a puncture upsetting the yaw behaviour.
