Hey guys, I am currently at work so I can't put this in to practice but pasically the other day I bought some LED number plate lights, issue is however that the Led lights use less power than the normal bulbs therefore the OBC (on board computer) thinks there is no bulb inside and subsequently a bulb out warning light appears on my dash. I went to maplins and bought 2 load resistors which I put in the circuit and this didn't work and just as I was outside the store a Grande Punto drove past with a young kid driving and I noticed that he had LED number plate lights and no warning light on his dash. Anyway as you can guess I didn't flag him down and ask him as that was a bit weird but I just thought of a way to perhaps get around the issue and I wanted to know if you think it will work. The first image attached is how the circuit for the lights work and in the second image I have fitted a wire before it gets to the bulb to complete the circuit, do you think that this will make the system think that there is a normal bulb inside and stop the warning lights? Your input would be fantastic, Sincerely Tom

Thanks :)

Do these need any ballast or do they just fit in the normal socket and work?

If you open the page they're inline if you're on about the ones I've linked, plug and play as they say :)

yeah i understand that, should be nice and simple, just wondering where in the circuit the resistors fit? and well the bulbs are coming on Wednesday so if they give me trouble ill get some resistors :)

Thanks very much, do the resistors fit the same in the number plate bulbs? also do the number plate bulbs need resistors?

The number plate bulbs r the same set up as ur side lights. They both need resistors n they both have the same bulbs. It all fits in place no probs. Buy the stuff n u will realise how easy it all is pal

yeah the bulbs and resistors will be here soon, where is the best place to mount the resistors? (especially the number plate ones) i dont want them to melt anything..
