yeah the bulbs and resistors will be here soon, where is the best place to mount the resistors? (especially the number plate ones) i dont want them to melt anything..

They wnt get hot enough to melt nething iv jus connected up n left them where they r n had no problems. N numberplate jus push up into the bumper n again leave them where they rest.

Sidelights and number plate bulbs upgraded, working well, the resistors are doing their job too :) thanks for all the help and advice :) might look to see if they do main bulb LED's now :)

I dont think u will get them. Although the the leds r very bright to look at they have a poor light dispersal witch will make them no good for ur headlights.

okay well thanks for the info, ill just head over to halfords or somewhere and get some standard brighter bulbs just so the headlight is white not yellow so it matches the sidelights :) and i must say the led's for the number plate lights look really smart

yeah i was thinking of getting whatever halfords best rated bulbs are, do they work on dipped and full beam? (ie. a twin filament bulb)

Yeah aslong as u get the rite ones for the car. I always double check on there listings they have near each product that its the rivht one

yeah ive just been on their website and put my reg no. in, i knew i needed H4 bulbs anyway but best to check, i might get some interior led's while im in there, i think the interior light would look nice as a bright white :) i'll have to remember to check what bulbs i need first though!

I got a pair from ebay, some white 'xeon' coloured bulbs, fitted fine and are noticeably brighter and have a white light instead of yellow. Very happy for a tenner.
IMO no need to spend a lot of money into headlight replacements unless you're serious about a blue hue to your lights or you want to see that cyclist a little bit earlier

a lot of people just prefer the whiter looking bulb rather than the very yellow standard bulb

ive got the exact same problem with my side lights, put some LEDs in, and i got a warning light, will a resistor work for my side lights

Fitted the replacement set and they work fine must have been a dodgy bulb.. they are brighter but no blue/ice blue tint i was hoping for..

I want my lights to look abit like the HID's or what the new Seat Exeo etc comes like.. i dont want HIDs as there illegal, the Nightbreakers are good crisp white and i have ice blue sidelights fitted too..
