Tuning 1.2 8v remap?

There is 10°C difference in intake air temperature original vs. GSR at 80km/h. Measured via obd port. With GSR it's about 8°C over ambient temperature. When iat goes under 0°C, consumption rises noticeably. Best power and economy is just over 0°C. Punto mk2 8v -01.

Try a Diesel.. There are mutch in them :)
I don't know, what a gasoline car, can gain, and it seems that you have done it all.. :)

a k&n filter bolted on top of a throttle body with a cold air feed isn't an induction kit:rolleyes:

when people think its works is called a placebo effect

1/4 mile and 0-60 is the old way to test air feeds as it cant be done on a rr, use a track not the street.

Surely this would not work either youd have to get the exact same traction every run, be very very difficult to judge a filter based on this, why wouldnt a rr tell you if any engine power had been increased,

Im also very skeptical about stock airboxes and induction kits etc, ive always thought well why are they not put on production cars anyway, especially the big boys surely cant maje much power if any over the stock just sound better

TJet180 - I understand what you are saying mate :). The only points I was trying to make was the fact that my engine felt better, was cooler and abit more responsive with my ITG on compared to the standard box and filter. Anyways, each to their own :)

Im on either side of the fence mate i use one myself, like what was said earlier i wouldnt use an open cone for moisture would have to be enclosed, my mate was trying to tell me a twin take would increase air intake but wouldnt understand that the turbo can only pull so much in surely one or four would be the same i could be wrong

I had a bmc cda like that, on a rr it had a lot less power than an open filter system with filter tubed to the cold air rather than trying to get cold air to the filter and that was when it was clean, every couple on months it had sucked up more dust than a dyson. even had a bird in it once, pics are on the forum some where.

guys overcomplicating things here, basically take the airbox off, get a bit of tumble dryer hosing and selotape it over the throttle body, then cut a hole in the bonnet and stick it out so it is pointing forwards. you will get much more air intake who cares if birds and stuff fall victim to your increase in engine power win win all round imo tbh fyi.

p.s don't forget to declare on your insurance
