Hi all. My grande punto 1.9 seems to be eating the front discs. I've got through 2 sets of discs and they have both warped, luckily first set was done under warranty but I can't ask for these to be done under that too. Any ideas if it's poor quality discs? Or my driving or if it could be a faulty part else where. Cheers for any help

Maybe standing-on hot brakes when waiting for lights to change.
On-the-move - best to dab-dab, dab-dab. Some take-the-p*ss for doing it - but discs last forever.

I do a lot of motorway miles, 44 a day and sometimes I sit on the brakes yeah. Would that be the cause?

When travelling at a low speed you can feel it brake harder then will go back to normal then harder, like a pulsation but not through the pedal, I can just feel it

Well I've just put new discs and pads on, the drivers side was easy but the passenger side was harder, kept binding so had to strip it all down, clean it and take off the pad shim thing off the back and apply copper grease to prevent brake squeal but all is well now, no pulsation. Il just remember not to sit on the breaks! Cheers guys

Potentially yeah, guessing when they got changed last time formula 1 didn't fit them correctly. There is still a slight bind now but it's practically nothing at all, I took it for a drive and checked the disc temperature when I got back and they was luke warm on both sides, where as before the passenger side was hot, I'm hoping the problem is sorted now :/

Yeah it does now, if I spin it with average force it will spin two or three and then stop, when it was binding it was barely 1 spin! I think there should be some amount if bind as they haven't been bedded in yet, I've literally done 1 mile on them so to have a very small amount of binding should be ok.

Doh! Why didn't ya say.
Sorry it's my fault for the way I worded it, when my passenger side was hot It was with my new set of discs not my old ones.
I had to take it apart again after fitting the new pair and clean the passenger side down, and take the shim cover off to stop it binding. Not sure if the set of pads was slightly bigger or what but it's not binding now.
I'm not sure if they was binding on my old discs to be honest I never really checked as it was done by a garage so was just hoping it was done properly. Cheers for all your feedback guys!
