hi, i have a yellow warning triangle with ! in middle. no other info on dash. had around 4 months, now before i take it to fiat to get it checked out i just wanted to ask you guys.
its a duelogic 1.4 sport,
it comes on with one turn of key BUT if i press break and start it stays on but if i rev it to about 2500 brev or just a quick burst while from ignition off to engin start it doesn't come on.
so to recap
if i start as normal or just turn key one turn the light comes on (not all the time which is confusing).
if from off and it neutral foot on break turn key engin start if i rev it aswell NO LIGHT ??????????

please help me guys im skint and hoping for a miricle.

bit more info, when light is on it will stay on all the jurney.
i have looked at all external lights and all working as should.

Could depend on type of lights if they have a different current rating the yellow triangle light show due to a less current drainage this is how they detect of the lights are blown as on my car I have led side lights and the triangle is constantly on due to this,, sometimes goes off but it could be that hope it helps

You checked all the lights are standard?? ? although they may be on it could be this

they look standard i think? it was from a garage had 1 owner it was a 50 year old man.

Yehh probs will be standard have a look at the connection between the front lights under the bonnet and see if anything is loose is a round connector check clips are locked,,

Hi , I'd get it checked out on a diagnostic machine to check for errors . My mate had the same sort of problem and just ended up replacing the oil pressure switch

thanks guys for the reply's its funny how if i rev it then it does not come on though so i cant see it being a bulb.

Get a diagnostic reader on it buddy.

Mine is always on because my hill holder is not available.

Got a service last Jan and they cleared it. No problemo. Bit of a headache and worry though.

Massive list of codes online when you get it read as well to point to what it will be.

Prepare for a whole history/host of electrical problems

funny people kept telling me that fiat have electrical problems all the time but still such a beautifull car.

Ok so just had a bit of a fiddle pushed all connectors and in fuseboxed and tryed turning keyvover 20 times and not once did it come on. Shown the mrs she jumps in turns key and yes u guessed it warning triangle.
Starting to wish i bought the golf now to be honest.

well after another fiddle it has gone off?????
turned on off a dozen times but no triangle.
what the hell is going on?

Let's zoom out a bit here pal, you have a warning triangle on your dash, and your car runs perfectly ok.

Yet you wish you bought another car? LOL. Honestly, go and buy a Golf, but if a warning light comes on that then you can wave goodbye to your bank balance for a few months.

To put things in to perspective, I get this all the time, normally about my rear numberplate light, I check, it works, ignore. Problem solved eh?

edit: LOL between this and the other thread about hating the GP because the radio fades out when changing stations, I am actually lolling my face off.

new window switch (still not working)

new drop links

radio stoped

power steering stoped

engine mounts needed sorting (i dont know what it was im no mecght the golf hanic)

most in warrenty but some other stuff too like stinks of petrol when stopped (breather pipe)

juddering when pulling off

clonking noise when pulling off

duelogic gears sometimes says gear unavailable

my friend bought the golf only problem he had was the key was a bit worn.
