General T-jet or Multijet?

Quite engine tbh and noisy exhaust and smells lush buddy

I've driven a t jet they just boost and then that's it no real sensation the turbo must be like the size if a coke can because I can't feel anything and mine doesn't spin too much grips well round the corners tbh mate

Diesels always feel faster than they actually are because of the higher torque.

I drive a lot of powerful diesels and front wheel drive always compromises the handling.

For the OP an Mjet would be a waste of time as his short journeys would mean no real saving in MPG terms and more wear and tear on an already less reliable car, but its personal choice at the end of the day.

Yes for op better buying a 1 litre Micra then , my m jet is remapped to 180 bhp and goes like 200 bhp petrol cars because the torque shoots the car forward more only better thing petrels have is higher top end more revs In gears and where in the uk can anyone go over 100 mph not often it's all about acceleration with the durv will eat a t jet tbh

Erm, no it isnt. Unless you are drag racing from lights like a moron.

As i said earlier, its better to have a car that performs well in all areas, not just accelleration.

Of all the diesels ive driven id say only a couple are as good or better to drive than their petrol counterparts

I'm just saying I have driven both and diesel is better than the petrol version my opinion

Each to their own, I have driven a couple of diesels of recent and yes quite enjoyable but they are noisy (tractorish) and yes we all know the saying "sounds like a tractor but pulls like a train".

I am not bad mouthing or putting down a diesel at all I am just expressing my own opinion. I am still not convinced that I myself would go out and buy a diesel.

Love my mjet. Never had a car thats made me smile and sometimes even laugh with the acceleration the things got. I drive to southport alot and fourth gear 2 thousand revs turbo is always ready. Cant beat it. That being said ive never driven a tjet but i know i love my mjet and itll take a new abarth to get me out of it.

A T-jet is faster unless the mjet is remapped.
.

wrong.

Tjet's and Mjet's are pritty even untill the top end speed. My Mjet (engines standard) was pulling away from two modded Tjet's and was never really playing 'catch up' even from stand still.

but I havn't commented to ague :) half the time its down to the driver.

it really depends on what your going to use the car for. short distances get a tjet. long distances get a Mjet :)

Mjets have an extra 10bhp over the tjets to accomdate the weight of them. they are both the same.

But yours is noisy, smelly, heavy and gives people cancer.
sigh... petrol has more carcinogens [cancer inducing] then diesel does! but then why worry its now official that air itself is carcinogen filled.....you might want to switch the central heating off.....

0-60 if both have the same bhp then the gearing plays a big part... in gear times or rolling on that's when TORQUE and usable torque ie lowdown plays a big part.. the diesel doesn't just feel faster, it is faster/quicker in the low to mid range speed because of it torque.....and on occasion it carries this slight advantage all the way to its top speed....

Yeah I understand I will cause problems on a diesel because of a lack of miles. I guess a T-jet is the one I'll have to go for. Get it mapped, upgrade the turbo and then kick some ass!

Nice one mate go for it :D

Let us all know how you get on.

On a side note, is this GP that Buller is looking at known to FF?

Regards
Stephen

Yeah anybody know the ex owner haha? The personalised plate was RT 3582. He now has a Astra burg apparently. Very wealthy and looked after the car with no expense spared.
