Hi everyone,

Just replaced the worn out gearbox on my sons 06 Grande Punto and replaced the clutch while we we're at it. After we got everything back together, we tried the clutch and the pedal goes all the way down to the stop with very little resistance then sticks there for a couple of seconds before popping back up again.

It seems to be activating the pressure plate but it's like there is little or no force to push the pedal back.

There is a video on Youtube entitled "Fiat Grande Punto broken clutch pedal" which shows the exact problem I'm having (sorry, can't post links yet.....)

A quick google search suggested the problem was probably either the slave or master cylinder so I've now replaced both but the fault is still there. The replacements were second-hand so I guess I could have been unfortunate to have bought a duff one, but before I throw good money after bad, is there anything else I should be looking at?

There is no fluid loss and I've bled the system repeatedly.... Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
