Hi Guys,

I updated Blue&Me today to 5.6, however the update seems to have failed as blue&me is no longer working, and i have flashing mileage. It would appear from searches on here and good ol' google, that a Proxy Alignment is required.

Does anyone in the oxfordshire area have the equipment for this, or can recommend somewhere that can do this, that WONT charge me through the teeth?

Have had mine since new 06 plate and once or twice a year I get the flashing milage ,and to be honest I have never bothered about it ,it has never had a detrimental effect on the car,i have never bothered updating any software on the car in the 7 years I've had it ..I will add that I have 24 /7 access to an examiner ,so I coud do the proxy alinment if I want ,but I work in a truck dealership .friends are gold at times...Truthfully don't worry about it

I tried that after reading on various threads on here, i even left the battery disconnected overnight (a good 8+ hours), however still nothing.

Any more advice?

Sorry, so is that a Proxy alignment, or a different diagnostic? Any idea on a rough price a dealer would charge for said diag?

Sorry to keep asking questions; but any idea on a price? Id like to know the damage to my wallet prior to being bent over the proverbial barrel.

garage will try to charge an hour (£60-80) however if you know them you could try the £10 cash to ne of the techs.....even they have to eat!

What I often suggest is one of these cheap £50-70 services, you get full check and oil and filter change, the garage must connect to put out service light so ask if they will carry out the proxy-alignment free (takes 15 seconds odd) while they are putting service light out

You ledge, i think you have just made my night. I have a friend of a friend who is/used to be a mechanic, and he said he has the kit to reset service light etc... Will this be able to do a proxy alignment? I had assumed they were two different devices? (One for ECU, one for Can-Bus?) :slayer:

Worth a try, if it doesn't then download the fiatscan software then buy a £4 lead from laptop to car and do it yourself

I assume if i ask the bloke, he will know what a Proxy alignment is? (Is this a common thing for most cars, or just Fiats/Alfas?)

It is normally under 'special functions' for that particular make/vehicle which you select after connecting equipment.

In hindsight might be better to go down the software/connection route, can save a fortune straight away and in the future

I took a quick look at fiatecuscan, However i have a Mac, and couldnt see a mac application. Also, can Proxy alignments be done in the free version? Or paid only?

Hi guys,

So turns out me and Nigel are having issues with this Proxy Alignment. When running the alignment, it fails at "Conversion Telematic Node (CTM) Failed! - Timeout Error.

We also found an error code under Body Computer Delphi 2 linked to the CTM which we cleared.

Anyone got any ideas?

A bit more detail.

Error reads: Convergence Telematic Node (CTM) Failed! - Timeout Error

The fault code we cleared was U1733 Convergence Node (but no useful explanation)

Anyone any ideas what is preventing us fixing this?
Could the Blue&Me update be faulty or incomplete?

Has anyone any idea what the problem is here? Any help much appreciated.

Hi Guys,

Anyone got any ideas on this? Have tried "downgrading" to 5.5 by USB stick, still nothing at all. Anyone got any ideas on how to downgrade/reset to factory settings?
