Hi,
Ive had a look at a few other threads on the matter but was wondering if anyone could help.

Ive got a 56 plate Grande Punto 1.9 Sporting.

When I start the engine, the yellow warning triangle displays. If I then turn the engine off and back on again, the yellow triangle dosnt show. Its only when the cars left off for quite some time that it will show back up when you start the engine.

All car lights appear to be working ok, so at a loss now as to what to check.

The missus has the 1.9 Eleganza, and when she had the yellow warning triangle appear, it displayed a message on the dash, but now such joy with mine.

Any help greatly apprecaited.

See if you can get us the message Dave. It will flash a few times on your dash screen when the triangle appears

It's most likely to be check running lights. This message will only appear when you switch on your lights. Check number plate bulbs and also check all 6 bulbs in the rear light clusters. You'll need to get some to check the rear brake lights are coming on when you press the brake pedal

Thanks for all the replies. Just Checked all my lights front and back and they all seem to be working. Only one that isn't is my reverse light but that hasn't been for a while.

It's the yellow triangle between the fuel and temperature gauge. It doesn't flash up any message at all, which is quite annoying!

What do you reckon I should check out next? I've got diagnostics on my laptop, if I hooked the car upto it, would it give me any more info?

Tried fixing that? More than likely the problem

I dont think its the reverse bulb thats blown, think its more of a faulty connection. It stopped working about a year ago, changed the bulb but had no luck. When my car was with Fiat they fixed the dodgy connection.

Reverse light again stopped working about 6 months ago, however its only been in the last couple of weeks that the error light has been showing.
