Hi, first of all i am new on here so forgive me if this is in the wrong place or has already been covered, anyway let me fill you in about my problems.

I own a 1.9td grande punto sporting, and 2 weeks ago i finally got it back after having the gear box replaced, anyway since the new gear box has been put in i have had a couple of instances where i would depress the clutch first thing in the morning and it would'nt come back up, after i pull it back up with my foot, the car will drive and the clutch would operate fine all day. now from what i have read on here, the fault is looking to be either master clutch cylinder, or the slave cylinder, however i cannot understand why the garage would need to remove the gearbox again to check this.

so what i am really asking is, what are you ideas on what they are looking for with the gear box off, is the slave cylinder internal of the gearbox?
