I've fit some LED 501 sidelights and they're supposed to be Cambus but all of a sudden I've been getting an error message, I didn't get this until about 3 days of having them in?

Also when I've been hot to check it looks as though they're getting too hot or is this normal? (look on the photo above the LED please)

The error message your getting is for the sidelights, it may be possible that the LEDs are getting too hot when they are on, however i do remember reading once that the xenon ones can sometimes get too hot aswell, might be worth taking the holder out the back of the headlamp and turning on the sidelights to see how hot they get

cheers

The LED sidelights do get pretty hot actually :( do you think that burn on my headlights has been caused by these or by the previous bulbs?

The previous ones were the little blue 501, they get really hot too

tbh i would have thought that it would be the xenon bulbs that have "burnt the plastic" however it could be the resistors in the LEDs that are getting way too hot theres no way of accurately telling if you never noticed it before you put the LEDs in

Cheers

Or unless someone who has xenon 501 bulbs can confirm whether they've got this burn in?

Do you just have standard bulbs mate
