Purchased a 2008 1.4 GP and the two USB ports that are in the car, aren't working and won't connected with my i-pod. I have tried disconnecting the battery but no luck. Is there something that I am missing?

Thanks

Is there anyway to fix the USB ports that you are aware of as I'm not sure about an adaptor for my i-pod (touch 5th gen)

The ports can't play music straight from your phone, the adaptor changes the formats or something along those lines so that music can be played. Otherwise download all your music onto USB sticks and use it that way

The USB posts are working correctly and don't need fixing. The problem is you bought an Apple product which is about as compatible as a republican senator and Eddy Izard.

You only need the Apple adaptor if you can't be bothered to convert the music files to a non-Apple/DRM protected format, or if you're using an iPod Touch or iPhone, otherwise it should work ok if you follow the procedures in the Blue&Me manual (see attached).

BTW- you only have one USB port- the one at the top is part of the Blue&Me/Convergence unit and is not suited or meant for general use.

Sometimes the system can 'freeze' if an incorrect file format is used or a button is held down too long. Disconnecting the battery for a short while can occasionally fix it, otherwise a full system restart may be needed by a Fiat Dealer.
