Bought these and they arrived today and they don't fit, too long :/ sure it's 42mm??

Apologies for crappy iPhone pics. Can get clearer digi pics another night if needs be. 42mm is the length of bulb you need regardless IIRC. Reuuk helped me with mine, i'm sure he remembers my tribulations with all that well....

Bought the exact same ones but in white - just coming on here to say that the existing ones aren't 42mm!

I've measured up and the ones we've both bought are 42mm, as advertised. The old bulbs are about 38mm. Doesn't sound much, but they won't even fit in the gap, let alone the holder. Just about to search eBay for 38mm ones.

Yehh was going to say, itl be quite a tight push! :/ there quite abit bigger than the originals gunna have to send them back :/

Same seller does a 16LED that's 38mm, so should fit. I'm going to ask them to exchange them

Going to have a to do the same, I ordered 2 sets, ordered some white ones aswell but just checked and they've been shipped, good job there quite cheap, although ill send these red ones back, nearly a fiver!! Haa skint times hey :/

I managed to blow the fuse trying to get them in as well. Just had to remove the USB to get to it, only to find I haven't got a 7.5mm mini blade fuse. Local garage hasn't got any, so it's a trip to Halfords at some point.

Oh sorry guys. I was going off information given to me in my previous post. Now it comes to it I think I made same error and it is indeed the slightly smaller size required.

It is worth going for something bigger than the 16 though. I just dug out my spare red one and can confirm I have the 24 LED red, and ideally i want more if I can get it, I want my red to really make the car interior pop some.

How'd you blow the fiat though? Keep the light in the off position when changing it and you'll be fine. It only goes in two ways and if you get the wrong way first time it just won't turn on.

Good thing the bulbs are only a couple quid

Just search 41mm COLOUR 24 SMD Festoon.

And thats the one i have, in red. It says 41mm/42mm, but it measures 40mm in my hand on a floppy tape sewing kit tape measure.

Link is just opening eBay front page for some reason, but pretty sure that's what I got - the 41mm ones are too long by a couple of millimetres. Doesn't sound much, but when you try it, it's nowhere near fitting

Just ordered the 38mm ones instead. Only 16 LEDs but they don't do 24 at that length.

Yeah I can only find 16 LED that's 38mm in length :/ the 41/42 is too big

The 38mm 16LEDs arrived yesterday. They're still tight, but they fit.

I'd love to say how they work, or show you a picture, but I'm still waiting for the replacement fuse to arrive...

Same, just widen the fitting...., its flimsy to say the least....

Ahh managed to squeeze them in, bit of a tight fit but ahh we'll all sorted
