I am really thinking now of changing my eibach sportlines for abarth springs because there so annoying to drive with daily, what have your experiences been like living with them?

The pros of them are:
Very tight handling
More responsive
Nice drop

The cons:
Having to avoid all potholes, drain covers and sudden dips.
Scrapping exhaust flexi on most bumps
Even more uncomfortable with rear passengers

The only things is I love the handling of eibachs sportlines but l couldnt go back to the standard springs as there so barge like. So what do people think of abarth springs (those that have them)?

Just don't go for the esseesse springs! I only say this as in comparison to eibachs as the ss springs are a whole lot more uncomfortable, I have to dodge cracks in the road let alone dips and potholes! Great for handling but not so much for my bones lol not sure what the normal abarths would be like though

I don't wish to go off topic here in getting you the response you want mate but what is the drop difference?

Regards
Stephen

I haven't got any...still on standard T Jet as not long had the car
BUT
What about the eibach pro sport kit?
Supposedly they are a smaller drop than the sportlines but bigger drop than abarths with a more comfortable drive?

Hello mate, I went from a t-jet with eibachs to an Abarth and I have to say the ride is much nicer and you get nowhere near the same amount of roll as on a standard spring. In fact the handling is pretty good. I know how you feel as although the eibachs have your car sat at nice height the ride is pants!:-!

Hey Jack, I've got a pair of front Eibach Pro's sat in my garage not doing anything if you wanted to "trial" those for a bit you're more than welcome to - not sure if you fit springs yourself or need a garage to do them, obviously one way is free apart from time/effort, the other would cost you a bit and might not be worth it. Its up to you.

As I say they're only the front ones as I'm using the rears - I figured I'm not going to be able to sell just a front pair of springs very easily so I thought I'd hang on to them. They've had 12-13months of use and I do about 14k miles a year.

Thanks guys, I managed to just win some abarths on eBay for £40 + £20pp :)

I really like the eibachs for handling but for daily driving there a pain plus my car will be easier to sell with abarth springs. I don't know when I will get the springs on though as it took me 8months to get the eibachs on lol

It's fine really, just can't go back to the standard springs as there so bad for handling, I may invest in brace bars when I get the abarths on if there not tight enough handling.

Atleast when I change them over I can have passengers in the rear and not have to look out for little potholes or dips in the road.

Personally i dont find the eibachs that bad at all.
Granted if you hit a deep pothole or speedbump too fast then it does feel pretty harsh but not much more so than the standards.

I found the stock shocks fine with eibach at first, I had them for about 18months from what I recall, but they definitely took a beating one winter, probably the same time I buckled a wheel on a pot hole, and they did get a fair bit worse from then on. If you've already had you front shocks changed then you should be happier with the Abarth springs.
