Hey guys,

I am new on the forum and it's great. I found a lot of guides which gave me a lot of help with my car :)

Now I need a little bit of help, with my future project.

I got Fiat GP 1.3 mjet 75 CV without fog lights, and I am planning to put them in my car.

I ordered some T10 leds on ebay and curently I am using them as day lights. They are a bit weak, and thats why I am planning to put fog lights in my car, put some leds inside and use them as day lights with T10s on the top (parking lights).

Now my first question is, if I put the fog lights in my car and wire them on original button for fog lights (near the steering wheel), can I use them without the low beam on, because I am planing to have fog lights on with parking lights for daytime lights?

You won't be able to wire them into existing switches as they're all CANbus operated.

You'll need a seperate switch and can wire it in how you need / want to. Remember however that Fog Lamps are NOT DRL's and just switching them on in the day doesn't mean they'll do the same job as DRLs as the beam pattern will be completly different.

In addition to this some coountries specify the way the lights have to operate to be legal, such as going off with headlights, only coming on with engine running etc.

Yes, I heard about that. But is there no way to reprogram the car computer or to do something else, so they will work on factory switch?

For the cruise control I heard u just need to put a the control stick in a car and enable it.

Andy Monty, tnx for those guides, I saw them and they are my back up plan :p

No, Cruise control and Front Fogs are two completly different items unfortunatly. Front Fogs cannot be retro enabled, CC can. Just the way it is unforunatly.

Aha tnx for all the info. I found a way how to wire fog ligts on a factory switch, but it's not via canbus :)

Thats the link for it. The title is in german, hope it will help you guys :)

Preizkušeno deluje na mojem GPju l.10/2008 serija 2, ter na mnogih drugih starejših letnikov iz drugih forumov.

He said, he tested it on his GP 10/2008 MK2 and it works, and on many older models from the past (from other forums).

And for fog lights, since I can't use the canbus I will bypass it. But I will use the original switch.

This is the thread how to do it, on slovenian forum. I posted the link, if someone will do it in the future.
