Hi guys,
Finally got around to over the last week or so to replace my droplinks and top mounts to get rid of this annoying rattle I have had for a while.
It has ben fine genreally finally no more knocking until today. It sounds different to last time possibly but when going over big speed bumps I get more of a "thudding" noise which I can feel through my steering wheel. Also when I turn my when from one way to the other even from stationary the car also knocks. The steering wheel one was always there even before doing my top mounts.
Any ideas or has anyone had this before?
Cheers

Coil spring broken since top mounts were done? Would be un-luck but is possible.

Yeah possible I need to have a look really. Just normal driving it is so quiet lol oh well radio will have to be turned up again for a while lol

Yes I ended up getting a few techs at work looking at it and thy said the drop links had play in them but I changed the top mounts as well while I was in that area. They didnt say anything else had gone though

It's your wish bone joints it's doing it on mine drop links r ok fiat say its ball joints on wish bone they want £305 for parts £165 for labour but can get parts from Tms for £51 each but the whole front end of car has to come off bumper and sub frame the lot

No it doesn't, I took my wishbone off the other day to do a ball joint and it was a 10 min job to remove.

Well if it's still knocking they were wrong.....you said in your opening post rattling and knocking, 2 different things. When exactly does the 'noise' occur?
