Hi, just recently spotted a puddle of oil under the car so got it on the ramp at work and found the gearbox covered in it, had it through dealer they cleaned it up and found nothing...anyone had any leaks???

Sounds like a leaking oil seal to me, my old t-jet had a leaking oil seal in the gearbox, was fixed under warranty so no idea how much it would have been. May not be that of course but, it was in my case / lol

She's still in warranty thankfully, still got N/S strut top to go in for, dealer just topped up the fluid, took it for a spin, checked again but it were bone dry :S hopefully something will show up Thurs when it goes back in. How long did they have your car for to put a new seal in?

Now its all clean, check it every day and the leak should show. Leave it too long and you'll just see a mess again.

I checked it when they dropped it off and still bone dry after a 20 mile run, ill keep a close eye on it.

Gearbox seals can go if the car is sitting up for a while (rubber perishes). I replaced mine when I bought them, €15 from a deal for the 2 - quick fix as well.

Gearbox seal, saying they'll need it for a day yet they forgot to pick it up :S. Complained again (5th time) about the N/S shocker banging, they've finally put a shock top on and its finally gone, been driving me up the wall ever since I got it last year. Why they didnt do that first time round with the O/S in October ill never know...

Just had a horrible thought. Make sure there's some oil left in the gearbox, or the leak will not show.

A day for a leaking oil seal!? Mine took over a week My gearbox rebuild took a month I hope it's nowhere near aslong as that for you!

Jobs a good 'un. Got it back today, gasket needed to set before they gave it back so I were given another Panda, been given one previous as car needed inspected on the friday morning. Quite surprised by it, 1.1 Active, had some go when boot was down lol :slayer: I were let down by the 1.2 Pop id been given previous.

Well 50 miles of petrol's gone and its only about 25 miles there and back so looks like they had some fun too! lol
