Am away to pick up a complete set of the Fiat 16" standard alloy wheels with tyres for my daughter's 1.2 2008 Grande Punto. Main reason is to have the steel wheels fitted with a set of winter tyres when winter sets in next week - :D

I assumed that there would be no problems actually fitting these alloys, and their tyres, directly to the Punto. One of the wheels might need a refurbish but just wanted to check with you knowledgeable guys that there should not be a problem.

Thanks

Ken

I could be wrong ken but those wheels look like the standard alloys from a Fiat Stilo. If so the stilo has a pcd of 98 x 4 iirc whereas the grande punto has a pcd of 100 x 4.

Regards
Stephen

The guy did say that he had them on a Grande Punto.....also forgot to add/mention.....the existing tyres I have on the steelies are 175/65 R15 and want to transfer those tyres directly to the alloys.....will that work?
SJB1985.....does that mean the won't work?

Quote from the person who is selling them.....
Hi i have a set of 4 used 16" Alloy wheels and tyres which were on my grande punto, they will not fit mk 1 or mk 2 punto, they will fit new style corsa or fiesta etc. the tyres have all good tread on them, and one of the wheels has some scuff marks nothing serious though, can deliver between Aberdeen and Inverness for fuel costs or can be picked up if preferred, if you want to arrange your own courier thats fine i have an ab56 post code, any questions please ask.

you cant put 15" tyres on 16" wheels. you will need to buy a whole new tyre setup. or buy some 15" wheels.

And i am not familiar with the wheels, double check with the seller to make sure they are a 4x100 fitment. as if they are 4x98 like some older fiat models you will have problems with fitting and will need special bolts commonly known as 'wobbly bolts'...more hastle than what it is worth in my opinion, just find wheels in the right fitment :)

They do but they are different. The alloys off the active sport are what I want. As already commented "more haste, less speed" methinks.
Have withdrawn from sale.

As always the forum rules.....

Thanks guys.....
