Hi all , just checked my car over as i have a long journey and noticed that my alternator belt is splitting . My car has aircon so it has the larger belt , and has only done 42000 miles , and is 2008 . Is this just wear and tear ?

Belts have a shelf life of about 4-5 years so yes.

if that is in that condition i hope to god you have done your cambelt

Hi there , yes got the cambelt done last year .

When cambelt done, was this belt also replaced? If so, it should be still good. If not, it should have been changed, so do it now.
