Im having the usual loss of power/acceleration on my 1.9mjd that seems to be overwhelmingly related the EGR. Had the same problem about 2 years ago and took it to my local garage, Who deal with a lot of Fiats so they say, And it showed up on the diagnostics and they cleaned it etc. This time they've carried out a diagnostic test again, But nothing. I've mentioned the EGR, But they seem to think its fine. But at the top right hand side of the engine,There seems to be a small oil or fluid leak, But i cant see where this is coming from. Could this be my problem?, Or should i blame the EGR again? Last week it wouldn't even start, But after i'd towed it to the garage, The next day it started for them and ran fine,They changed fuel filters etc. Had it back and it started straight away. Sometimes i drive and its fine, Other times its a nightmare.Anyone have any ideas?

I think that's what I'm going to have to do, especially when the guy at the garage just shrugs his shoulders.did you do it or get it done somewhere? Got told to sit in the car and keep revving it for 15 minutes and that will get the engine really hot and burn the crap away. Did that on sat and the car has been lovely, till I was just driving home and it went into, so called limp mode again..gutted..

Haha, well I let the garage do it as my car was in for service but.. They decided it would be a great idea to use an old oil can as the blanking plate!!! The plate ruptured so I made my own and installed it out of 2.5mm stainess steel :) you will have to have the egr mapped out the ecu as well :)

Yeah thanks for the advice, love the car problems and all,but this has done my head In. Its so annoying. How much did getting it mapped out cost you? I'll do the rest myself..
