Re: LHD to RHD mods

I’m also afraid that it will not pass a MOT test, although I’ve read in one or two forums that they don’t even notice the KM/H speedometer… Though that sounds really hard to believe as how wouldn’t someone notice it on left-hand drive car…
Unfortunately, my experience so far shows that the prices for just the speedometer fascia - which has to be customized for the Sporting as the revs counter displays up to 8k RPM – are really expensive like 200+….. and I still haven’t heard of anyone else’s story here about a customized speedometer fascia and prices…

Yet again I ask why are you not changing the clocks with a UK one. They're only about £50 on eBay.

The entire speedo cluster you mean? I guess that’s also a solution… it sounds a bit more complex though… to remove the entire panel instead of just the fascia… plus last time I checked on ebay I couldn’t find a compatible one (e.g. revs counter up to 8000)

Don't forget to buy one with lower mileage / distance recorded on it as you will need to run a proxy alignment and change the odo reading and you can go forward but not back.

Re: LHD to RHD mods

What does interchanging the rear fog / reverse lights from LHD to RHD specifications really means?
I need these two 51718014 (foglight) and 51718013 (back-up light).
But what about their wiring?

The live feeds will need physically switching over.

Which would be the easiest way of physically swapping the live feeds

undo bulb holders from both clusters

swap lens units to RHD ones

put LH bulb holder into RH cluster

Put RH bulb into LH cluster

Re: LHD to RHD mods

Yeah definitely sentimental about it… it’s also crazy and a bit expensive but for me it’s worth it...
Plus it would really feel strange shifting gears with the left hand

I'm confused as to why you need one that shows up to 8k? Still only revs to 6.5?
