Hello, a bit of a daft question, but, i had planned on changing the diesel filter tomorrow morning, but ive just realised i purchaed the `Euro 4 filter` rather than the `euro 5 filter`, i know size and shape is different, but my main question is if i was able to install the euro 4 filter will it do any damage to Car. Its LHD grande punto 1.3 multijet 2007
Thanks in advance
Kevin

By diesel filter do you mean the fuel filter or the dpf?

Either way, at that age your car would be a Euro 4 wouldn't it? I don't think the euro 5 emissions standard came in until 2009 or so.

Hi, yes sorry i meant the fuel filter.
When i was looking in the owners manual there is a pic of both engines, and the diagram of the fuel filter for the euro 5 engine looks more like the one inside the car.
Although whilst checking eper with the vin this shows up

199.131.0.0 - 1.3 MJTD 16V E4 75CV 55KW ACTIVE-3 PORTE
So in this case would the E4 stand for euro 4
So would you think that the last time it was changed they put the Euro 5 filter in?
So would it be case of it didn`t matter which one i fitted?
