Guys
had another thread going on the forum hi-lighting some starting issues ongoing with the wife's car can be seen here

now been running the master key for nearly 2 weeks now and no starting issues, so my question is now what could have gone wrong with the key? is there anything i can do to resolve (DIY) or are we needing a whole new key fob, if so are we talking silly money from the stealers?

It might be worth opening the clamshell, and checking the board for any cracked solder joints. A magnifying glass would help as sometimes, cracked joints are not so obvious.
