OMG what an absolute F***ING nightmare:bang:. I changed over the speedo this morning all went well and everything was working great except the MPH Counter. I was also getting the mileage flashing but I expected this. I took the car to Fiat straightaway and they did the Proxy Alignment. This did not sort the problem and in fact has caused more errors. The MPH counter still doesn’t work but the mileage is fixed. I was told to get the old speedo put into the car ASAP. I therefore rushed home from the garage. I put the old speedo in and everything is back to normal except now I have an extra problem in that my airbag warning light is on. I went back to Fiat to ask them to remove this for me. They said they wanted £95.00 plus VAT. Strangely, the mechanic said that he would guarantee it was the front crash sensor that had gone.

I was told that because I asked them to do the Proxy Alignment and now all the system had talked to one another its came up with an error with the airbag system and I should get it sorted ASAP. I have to say this has worried me somewhat.

Can anyone at all please shed some light on this for me. I am already down £125.00 as of 11:15am this morning. Someone please HELP!!!

Stephen

:D Cheers mate.

The change was for a more fancy one from a 2009 GP with the chrome bezzels. Wish I had'nt bothered the battery is in very good condition I have just disconnected the battery.

I will leave it for for 30 mins to and hour and see what happens.

No mate they are being sent back to the company as I was given a guarantee they were compatible.

I wish I had never botheted and this is not some thing I would recommend to anyone.

You got a charger also to put on it? It's typical low voltage symptoms. You didn't have the radio playing away when fitting them etc did you?

No mate I made sure everything was off.

I have checked the volts of the battery and with the engine off its at 12 volts and with the engine on it is sitting at 13 volts.

Anything else I could try?

Thanks for your time mate.

Regards
Stephen
